Canoeing in Quetico (June 2005)

Kristin paddling the dinghy. We only made her paddle about 50 feet, we towed her behind the canoe the rest of the time.

Nothing like a dip in the lake after a portage. The water was warm and kristin caught 4 small mouthed 9 inch Bass in 10 minutes. She threw them back.

Kristin, Tyson and I enjoyed a bottle of Merlot while watching the sunset.

Reading on the deck of the cabin we found in Batchewaung lake. Unfortunately our favorite island was occupied and we stayed here the first night.

Finally reached our favorite island, went swimming, and relaxed for the entire day.

No hammock for Pete. He cried. Really.

Yet another beautiful sunset in Quetico Provincial Park.

Of the 4 of us, only Kristin was a fisher(wo)man. She caught a 12 inch Bass at the portage beach and Pete, Kristin, and Tyson devoured it after Pete cleaned and fried.
